Summer palace of Emperor Bao Dai

Hang Nga Gallery (“Crazy House”)

Designed by the Vietnamese architect Dang Viet Nga, the building is a bizarre design especially for children, but adults should not miss the architecture that is especially unusual for Vietnam. The building surprises the visitor with tree-like rooms, narrow spiral staircases, slanting walls and a great view of the surrounding colonial villa district.

Lam Ty Ni Pagoda

The Lam Ty Ni Pagoda, situated along a small, unobtrusive alley, has become famous for its only inhabitant and at the same time the monk Vien Thuc. For many years, he has designed the peaceful garden surrounding the pagoda and enriched both the garden and the side buildings of the pagoda with his works of art. Mr. Thuc has created an impressive collection of thousands of paintings, drawings, poems and sculptures (most of them are self-portrayed). The atmosphere here is completely devoted to Zen, and the highly eccentric monk loves to show visitors his works. All works of art are for sale.

Xuan Huong Lake

This artificial lake is located at the center of Dalat and is particularly suitable for a picnic or a boat trip. On a 7 km long path leading around the lake you can go on a wonderful walk and admire the many old villas. The lake is especially beautiful at sunset!
